Google Business Profile

The listing that decides whether you make the top 3.

Your Google Business Profile is the single biggest factor in whether you appear in the map pack. Most businesses claim it once, fill in half the fields, and never touch it again. That is the opportunity.

Included in the $500/mo plan · We audit yours free on the call

Why it matters this much

It outranks your website.

For a local search, the map pack sits above the organic results. Your profile — not your website — decides whether you are in it. Someone can call you straight from that listing without ever visiting your site.

Which means an unmaintained profile is not a small oversight. It is the most valuable piece of real estate you own, sitting empty.

What we find on almost every audit

Wrong primary category. Service area left at a default radius. Half the services missing. Photos from whenever the profile was created. Questions from customers sitting unanswered for a year. Hours that were never updated after a change. Each one is small. Together they are the reason a competitor with worse work is ranking above you.

What’s included

Set up right, then actually maintained.

  • Claim and verify. Including the awkward cases — duplicate listings, profiles claimed by a former marketer, ownership you have lost access to.
  • Category strategy. The primary category carries enormous weight. Picking it correctly is not obvious and is worth getting right.
  • Every field completed. Services, attributes, hours, holiday hours, description, opening date. Completeness is itself a ranking factor.
  • Service area configured properly. Set to where you actually work, not a default circle around a pin.
  • Monthly posts. Offers, updates, jobs completed. An active profile signals an active business.
  • Photo uploads. Real work, added regularly. Profiles with recent photos get more engagement than ones frozen in time.
  • Review responses. Every review answered, including the bad ones — especially the bad ones.
  • Monitoring. Google lets the public suggest edits to your listing. We watch for changes and reverse the wrong ones.
How it works

Fix it once, then keep it alive.

Step 01

Audit

We go through your live profile field by field on the free call and show you what is wrong. You keep that list either way.

Step 02

Rebuild it

Category, services, area, description, photos. Usually the largest single jump, and it happens in the first fortnight.

Step 03

Feed it monthly

Posts, photos, review replies, Q&A. This is the part almost nobody sustains, which is exactly why it works.

Step 04

Defend it

Watch for public edits, duplicate listings and competitors reporting you. Fix problems before they cost you placement.

The work

Real estate is one of the most crowded local categories there is, and agents live or die on being findable at the moment somebody starts looking. Website, profile and the surrounding marketing were handled together rather than in isolation.

“They helped me improve my website design, set up and optimize my Google Business Profile, and provided valuable guidance on several other online marketing needs.”

Questions

Before you ask.

I do not have a storefront. Can I still have a profile?

Yes. Google supports service-area businesses — you verify at your address but hide it publicly, and set the area you travel to instead. That is the correct setup for most contractors, movers and landscapers, and it is what we configure.

Can I rank in a city I am not physically in?

Not in the map pack, no. A profile requires a verified address in that market — Google confirms it by postcard or video. You can rank a page in the regular organic results for another city, but the three-result map block needs a real presence. Anyone offering to set up a listing at an address you do not occupy is proposing something that gets listings permanently suspended.

Someone else has control of my listing.

Common, and recoverable. Google has a process for requesting ownership from an unresponsive current owner, and duplicate listings can be merged or removed. It takes some patience. Bring it up on the call and we will tell you what is involved for your specific situation.

How fast will I move up?

The initial cleanup often shows within a few weeks — a wrong primary category is the kind of thing that holds a business back badly and is fixed in a day. Sustained movement into the top 3 takes three to six months and depends on your competition and review volume. We do not guarantee positions.

Do reviews really affect ranking?

Yes, and both volume and recency count. Fifty reviews that stopped two years ago look worse than fifteen arriving steadily. That is why review generation is bundled into the same plan rather than sold separately — profile work without review flow stalls.

Can I just do this myself?

Genuinely, yes — none of it is secret, and if you have the hours we will happily tell you what to fix on the free call whether or not you hire us. What people struggle with is month eleven: still posting, still answering reviews, still uploading photos, when nothing has visibly changed. That consistency is what you are actually paying for.
